What is Crisis Readiness?
Disruptions in ports, vessels, and supply chains can escalate in hours. Crisis readiness is staying ahead of escalation. We prepare you to make decisive decisions, manage communications in real time, all while protecting your company’s reputation.
We have seen firsthand how a small incident can become a full-scale crisis.
-
Who should attend?
Mid- to senior-level professionals in maritime and logistics who are involved in incident response, communications, or operational decision-making.
This includes:
– Corporate Communications and Public Affairs leaders
– Port, terminal, and shipping professionals
– Supply chain and logistics managers
–Risk, crisis, and compliance teamsIf you are expected to advise leadership or respond to a crisis and operational disruptions, this workshop is tailored for you.
-
Why should I attend?
In Rotterdam’s port and logistics ecosystem, incidents rarely remain contained. Operational issues can quickly involve regulators, partners, media, and public scrutiny.
The approaches used are based on real incident environments, where organisations must act before all the information becomes available.
-
What will this session strengthen?
You will strengthen your ability to lead decisively during high-pressure maritime and logistics incidents, where limited information, time pressure, and communication all shape the outcome.
You will learn to:– Make sound decisions under uncertainty: act with judgement, adjust as situations evolve, and maintain credibility
– Communicate with clarity: ensure consistency across teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to manage reputational risk early
– Lead in a realistic role-play scenario: test your approach in real time and learn how decisions and communication influence the outcome of an incident
-
Who are the facilitators?
The session is led by communications experts who have supported organisations through operational and reputational incidents affecting ports, supply chains, or critical operations.
The approaches are drawn from applied experience in live situations, where communication, timing, and reputation management directly influenced outcomes.
